WHY IT SMELLS EVEN AFTER CLEANING
The Problem Goes Deeper Than the Carpet
When a pet urinates on carpet, the liquid travels through three layers: the carpet fiber, the backing, and the padding beneath. Some reaches the subfloor.
Urine contains uric acid crystals. These don't dissolve in water — they need enzymatic breakdown to be truly neutralized. Steam cleaning alone won't do it. Neither will store-bought sprays.
That's why rooms cleaned with a regular machine still smell. Our process targets the crystals, not just the surface.
Layer 1 — Carpet Fiber
The visible stain. Treatable with standard cleaning — but only the beginning.
Layer 2 — Carpet Backing
Urine soaks into the backing material. This is where most odour lives after surface cleaning.
Layer 3 — Padding & Subfloor
Heavy or repeated accidents reach the pad and subfloor. Our UV inspection identifies these areas before we treat them.
⚠️
Why "Clean" Doesn't Mean "Gone"
Pet urine wicks down through carpet fibers into the backing and padding. A regular clean removes the surface stain but leaves the odour source untouched. That's why the smell comes back — especially in humidity or when the room heats up.
